1. I have never done a triathlon before, will it be safe?
A. The team at the Sussex triathlon festival work very closely with the appropriate organisations to ensure that every competitor and spectator is safe throughout the course of the events, there will be full marshal support who are first aid trained, St Johns Ambulance services and security to ensure you personal well-being and safety.
2. What are the race distances?
A. We will be offering two race distances, a sprint event (ideal for first time racers) and a Standard distance event, which is usually twice the distance of the Sprint event.
3. Do I need a wetsuit for the swim?
A. Although it is not a legal requirement for the sprint distance event, we would strongly recommend the use of a wetsuit for both event distances.
4. Can I race as part of a team?
A. Yes, the standard distance race will be accommodating relay teams.
5. What if I have entered and can no longer race for any reason?
A. We understand that not everyone that enters can race on the day, as soon as you advise us we will defer you entry to the following year’s event at no extra cost to you.
6. Can I get a refund on my entry?
A. Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds and we will defer your place to next year or you can opt for someone to take your place on race day
